PHILIPPIANS 4: 1-23

2 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”
(Philippians 4:13).

3 BELIEVER JOY AND CONFIDENCE IN CHRIST
LESSON: Total Obedience to the word of God gives believers lasting joy and Confidence. THOUGHT: I will preach the gospel and help other to be joyful and to please God.

4 Introduction: PAUL THE APOSTLE
Paul the Apostle was formerly a sinner who persecuted Christian. Then he was called Saul of Tarsus. He was the leader of those arresting believers and putting them in prison One glorious day, Jesus met Saul on his way to Damascus to arrest the believers there This encounter change Saul’s life and he became a Christian There after he is known as Paul

5 Introduction: PAUL THE APOSTLE
After Saul became a friend of Jesus, now called Paul, He willingly surrendered his life totally to SERVE God He preached the gospel and established churches in cities including Phillipi He led many people to Jesus Todays Bible passage is a letter Paul wrote to the Christians in Phillipi In his letter, Paul counselled them to remain steadfast in their Faith and serve God with joy Today, the same counsel is for us as believers

6 WHO ARE BELIEVERS ? Acts 11:21-26
Believers are boys and girls who have repented of their sin and obtained forgiveness from God and cleansing and the blood of Jesus. They always obey God’s word and do no commit sin anymore. They obey their parents at home, their teachers in the school and their leaders in the church. They are called Christians because they now obey and live like Christ.

7 WHO ARE BELIVERS ? Acts 11:21-26
Believers are also called friends of Jesus, New creatures Beloved of God Temples of God Heirs of God Peculiar treasures Ambassadors for Christ Sheep of the Good Shepherd and sons of God.

8 AS YOU STAND FOR JESUS HE WILL KEEP YOU
ARE YOU A BELIEVER ? If not, you must surrender to Christ before it is too late Repent of all your SINS Ask for forgiveness and cleansing in the blood of Jesus Forsake your sins and ask Jesus to be your Saviour and Lord AS YOU STAND FOR JESUS HE WILL KEEP YOU TILL THE END.

9 EXORTATION TO BELIEVERS Philippians 4: 1-23; Matthew 6:25; Ephesians 6:10
As believers, there are certain things we must do every day in order to remain strong and ready for the coming of the Lord. These are: (a) Steadfastness in the faith:- It means to remain firm and unwavering. We must not be influenced by false teachings but stand strong on the word of God. (b) Unity and care for one another. (c) Giving offering and other things for the growth of the ministry

10 EXORTATION TO BELIEVERS Philippians 4: 1-23; Matthew 6:25; Ephesians 6:10
(d) Prayerfulness:- We must not be anxious for nothing but be prayerful and thankful trusting that whatever we ask in prayer, God will do it (e) Abiding in whatever is true, honest, just, pure and of good report (f) Exemplary character so that we can win sinners to Christ by our lifestyles As believers we must follow in the footsteps of Jesus Shine the right in this dark world and be a true witness for Jesus These are the duties of Christians

Jesus Christ commands us to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Preaching the gospel to every believer’s ministry The Bible tells us that there is joy in heaven over every soul who gets converted

Paul the Apostle rejoiced greatly when he heard of the spiritual prosperity of the Philippian church. He saw the sincerity of their faith and obedience to the word of God and was certain that their names had been written in the Book of Life The believer finds joy in preaching the gospel and winning souls for Christ

This is the time to rise and preach the gospel God’s grace will be with you There are many sinners around us, and the time is short Preach the gospel daily If you do so, your heart will be joyful and heaven will rejoice as well
