Geographical Position of the Port The port of Bushehr is located in 28,58 N and 50, 50 E in the north end of a peninsula on the coast of the Persian Gulf. This peninsula is 14 Km long. The depth of water is near to 7m in the external anchorage leading to internal anchorage by the external channel 9200m in length and from the internal anchorage to Khor Soltani, Bushehr berth and then to Khor Booder by the internal channel 3900m in length. Climate in Bushehr Port Bushehr port has got a semi-tropical climate with very hot and humid Summer and temperate Winter. The seasonal South Western winds blow on Bushehr sea from the beginning of June to the end of October but they rarely reach the harbor. The seasonal North Eastern winds blow on Bushehr sea and sometimes very strongly on the land from the end of December to the beginning of May. Port Particular (BIK) CONTAINER TERMINAL The container terminal was established in 1976 , and is considered to be one of the most important terminals at BIK Port . The container terminal of BIK has 5 berths with the total length of 1050 meters and an average draft of meters. Design The terminal has 5 berths with the total length of 1050 meters and are equipped by 4 gantry cranes. Container Yard (CY) The container yard area are equipped by transtainer capable of an arrangement of 6 containers in width and 4 in height with a designated access way for load and discharge. Installations The main office , customer affairs, operation facility, coastal equipment workshop. Railway The CY & CFS warehouses have full access to two railway tracks for the load and discharge of wagons. The lateral facilities: The depot yards for refrigerated and empty containers, stuffing and stripping of containers , and also the workshop.
