2 Volunteer What kind of person can be called “ volunteer”?
People who help others in their community or outside their community would be called volunteers. 13 Summary Jo who worked as a volunteer teacher in PNG. Her high school was a bush school, making of bamboo and grass. There was no electricity or water and even no textbooks neither! It was difficult for Jo to know local people as she didn’t say much of the local English dialect. But she and Jenny did visited a village is the home of Tombe. All the villagers welcomed them and they spent a day stay there. Mukap cooked some food, which smelled deliciously. They slept on a newly made platform in night.
