2 What did YOU do? Turn to your tablemates and share one thing you did over break! Be ready to share at least one thing a classmate did.

3 Going Forward: Course Expectations
Do ALL homework on time! You have until the end of the unit to turn-in all homework. Check website for extra copies or directions Submit latework in latework bin before bell rings Don’t wait until the last minute!  Take advantage of test corrections: before/after school Be seated upon entering the classroom, respectful of the learning environment and ready to learn Minimize use of bathroom Can’t go first/last 5 minutes of class One at a time Sign out Get missed notes/work from a classmate Will be incentive for not going too often! Study for all tests and quizzes NO cell phones, unless otherwise directed Ask questions (content, assignments, difficulties/concerns) Participate! Participate! Participate! Aim for at least 1-2 times per class period Check grades on home access at least once a week. Minimize absences and ask up to 3 classmates what was missed before going to Mr. J.

5 Key Terms Define using glossary or context clues from textbook readings. Be careful about using the Internet or a dictionary; you might not get the definition you need! Consider the following types of causes/effects: Political Economic Social Technological Which detail about the war is most significant? Why? Elect a spokesperson to share your most important detail.

As you watch… Jot down three key details about each presidency After watching: Create a thesis statement with an argument that answers the following question: why should we care about these presidents? Provide two examples from the clips that can build your argument: how do these facts support the argument you’re trying to make in your thesis? Turn-in as an exit slip, homework if not finished
