Reading throughout the week Spelling and weekly sounds (Twice a week at the start of the year – new sound on Monday and Wednesday) Please sign homework in learning diary and use to communicate with class teacher. Stepping up Afternoons
Wed. 14th 1.30 – 3.00pm Coffee 1.45pm 14/06/17 Thurs. 15th 1.30 – 3.00pm Fri 16th 1.30 – 3.00pm Please come to the P1 door at the side of the school, to meet your teacher and take your child into class. You will be advised of the class teacher by separate letter nearer to the time.

When? Tuesday 29th August 2017 or Wednesday 30th August 2017 Where ? School dining hall. Who? 1 adult and your child. A letter will be sent out at the Stepping Up Afternoon.

Nursery to P1 Learning Link Packs First Homework Job
Aims P1 teachers will be visiting your children in other nurseries. Nursery to P1 Learning Link pack will be handed out as homework during the Stepping up Afternoons.

How you can help Be prepared! Help your child with this new transition- talk about what will happen. Keep an eye on school noticeboard and school newsletters (via ) for information Watch Induction Vimeo clip together and attend the 3 Stepping Up Afternoons in June. Open door policy in school. Call to arrange appointment with teacher if you need to. Staff only school car park for safety – not an access point to school. Reinforce school boundaries. This is really important. Once in school, stay in school. 41
