Rural area -20 miles east of La Crosse area -Economy based on farming , large factories & military High Transient Community -Military (Fort McCoy) - 350 to 400 students move in & out each year -Federal Impact aid County Seat -Group Home/Foster High SES ~53% Free and Reduced Lunch -40% of students enter workforce upon graduation

12 Minor Behavior Tracking: The Rationale to Staff
Looking for trends in behaviors that are not tracked through Skyward Monitoring minor behaviors Higher student engagement in the classroom Allows collaboration between teachers on successful interventions Goal is for this to be an easy system for teachers to use

13 Minor Behavior Tracking: The Implementation
Subcommittee to implement minor tracking behavior Defining Minor vs Major Definitions for each offense Creation of a Google form Staff training with step-by-step tutorials Minors are monitored every day by Assistant Principal 3 Minors, of the same offense, in 3 weeks = a Major

14 Minor vs. Major Minor Offenses:  Minor Offenses are misbehaviors corrected “on the spot” (classroom, common areas, etc.). Interventions used to address minor offenses are documented on the Minor Offenses Reporting form. Major Infractions:  Major Infractions are violations which require the immediate attention of administrative staff. The interventions used to address and correct major infractions. Parents/guardians are notified and Skyward Online Discipline Referral form.
