What we are learning
Notes/Reminders:
Language: We will be exploring the genre of ‘Mystery’. Our literacy focus this week is to identify the elements of a mystery, finding clues in our text and making connections as we read. We will also begin our grammar and spelling program. In grammar, we will be learning about subjects, predicates and verbs.
Math: We will continue with number and shape patterns, learning to solve problems with patterns.
Social Studies: We will begin our first unit on First Nations and Europeans in Early Canada. We will explore what history is, and look at artefacts from the past as a primary source.
Science: We will be learning the different parts of our digestive system and the roles they play in our body.
Arts: We will continue to explore with lines, colour and shapes.
