What we are learning
Notes/Reminders:
Language: Our focus this week is making inferences as we read. We will learn to use text clues and our schema to make predicable inferences. We will also being writing our own short stories. In grammar, we will begin studying nouns.
Math: We will be finishing up Unit 2 and moving forward to Unit 3 –Geometry! We we begin with classifying polygons and triangles according to their attributes.
Social Studies: We will study the Beothuk Nation group and the relationships between First Nations through treaties and historical confederacies.
Science: We will be exploring the respiratory and circulatory systems in our body and how they are interconnected.
Arts: We will continue Aboriginal inspired artwork.
Please follow up with your child’s homework and assignments. Ask them to show you their marked work and review their learning at home, in order to maximize their academic progress
Make sure your child is reading every night as this practice helps them not only their literacy skills, but their writing skills
Pop bottles or plastic water bottles are needed for a science experiment!
