2 1. Background Information:
Lelea is a village in Samoa with a population approx 240 people Lelea Scheme is fully managed by the village council/community. Upgraded water scheme in 2015. Partnership between “KEW and the Village of Lelea” was signed in Aug 2015

3 2. Conditions of Partnership
KEW Consult Ltd: Village of Lele’a Technical assistance/support Operator training-plumbing and fittings, maintenance operations, data collection Provision of tools- Toolbox and repair fittings Seminar and awareness programmes Employment opportunity - 1 Fully paid operator for duration of partnership Community obligation All services were free of charge Assist/support with all programs for the partnership. Help to promote sustainable water management strategies.

Repair all existing leakages in households Reduce water wastage Carry out awareness programs/seminar Improve Sanitation Training for operators and water committee Continuous maintenance for water resources Increase in participation Female operators Female members in committee
