The Institute's Mission is to provide a forum through which the fiberglass reinforced thermoset plastic ("RTP") industry can work together effectively toward the common goal of advancing the use of certain fiberglass products substantially used in the underground tank and piping marketplace, coordinate market studies, gather statistics and combine talents and resources to provide standard-setting organizations with superior technical data and disseminate information to the government, industry and the public.

Dear Joe,
You have requested an installation variance on the backfill bed to be used under the 8’-8000 DW tank being installed at the above referenced project. The site conditions for the installation are limiting the amount of backfill bed required under the tank. You have requested that the backfill bed be reduced from 12 inches listed in our installation instructions, to 10 inches.
Based on the information provided to CSI on XX/XX/XXXX this backfill bed variance is approved by Containment Solutions for the above referenced project. Please insure that the backfill bed does measure a minimum of 10 inches.
