Naturally Slim Naturally Slim is an online program that helps you lose weight, and improve your overall health -- all while eating the foods you love. With Naturally Slim, you’ll learn that you don’t have to starve yourself or count calories to be healthy, lose weight and keep it off forever. We’re offering Naturally Slim system-wide for free to all *UT SELECT Members. Next Application Period: Spring 2018 More details will be posted in the Office of Employee Benefits’ A Matter of Health Spring 2018 newsletters. *Available to all UT SELECT medical plan members age 18+, including employees, retirees, and dependents.

UT System-wide Activity Challenges: Fall and Spring Next Challenge Coming Fall 2017: Health Trails Track your physical activity, sleep, and water consumption. You’ll have a personal goal and work with colleagues to compete against other UT institutions for the Traveling Trophy Same format as previous Walktober and Spring Into Motion challenges Mobile app and desktop site available Integrate your fitness wearables (Fitbit/Jawbone) or free tracking apps via your smart phone (iPhone or Android) to track activity Registration Period: September 25th to October 16th Challenge Dates: October 9th to November 19th More details will be posted in the Office of Employee Benefits, “A Matter of Health” September/October 2017 newsletters and via your UT institution Wellness Coordinator *Available to all UT SELECT medical plan members age 18+, including employees, retirees, and dependents.

Free Tobacco Cessation & Resources The UT System Office of Employee Benefits and its Living Well program are committed to helping tobacco users quit. The UT SELECT medical plan offers members a variety of tobacco cessation resources at no out-of- pocket cost. These tobacco cessation resources include professional counseling and pharmaceutical therapy. FREE Pharmaceutical Therapy and Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT)* FREE Tobacco Cessation Professional Counseling Program* Resources available at your UT Institution All of the approaches discussed above have proved beneficial in supporting those who are trying to quit tobacco. *Reimbursement for Exercise Expenses Individuals with medical conditions that can be improved by physical activity are able to receive reimbursement from their healthcare flexible spending account to pay for some exercise programs or equipment. A Letter of Medical Necessity is required for all exercise referrals. Who is Eligible? Individuals with a medical condition for which physical activity is prescribed as a treatment for that condition by their physician Reimbursement. Employees and/or their dependents are reimbursed from the employee’s healthcare flexible spending account. For more information, visit the UT FLEX page. A Letter of Medical Necessity form must be completed by your doctor, affirming that physical activity is medically necessary, i.e. treatment which can improve a medical condition. This letter and more information can be found at under the “Be Healthy” tab. *Available to all UT FLEX enrolled members.

Employee Assistance Program The Employee Assistance Program is available to help you and your dependents with life's concerns. EAP is a benefit of your employment that provides confidential, professional assistance to help you resolve problems that affect your personal life or job performance. Other Great Programs Onsite Flu Shot Condition Management 24/7 Nurseline Consult with a Specialist Pharmacist Onsite Health Checkups The UT System Living Well program provides a variety of resources to enable employees, retirees, and dependents of the UT SELECT medical plan to take charge of their health and develop their own personal wellness program. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of Texans through achieving optimal performance level of University of Texas System employees, retirees and dependents health at all Institutions.
