4 Checklist Packed Lunch –disposable DO NOT PUT IN SUITCASE (in small rucksack) Luggage – Children must be able to carry / wheel their own luggage Bedding – Sleeping bag / duvet and pillow case (rolled up and put it in a black plastic bag- NAMED) Indoor Clothing – Shirts/blouses, trousers/skirts, jumpers and sweatshirts Toiletries – Toothpaste and brush, soap, three towels, and a hair brush. Underwear – At least 8 sets. Nightwear – Pyjamas and a small teddy Indoor Footwear – Slippers / trainers that don’t mark

Cameras are the responsibility of the individual. Travel sickness medication needs to be taken at home before setting off. Medicines must be in a sealed and named envelope with instructions, and given to a member of staff. NO JEWELLERY NO SPENDING MONEY NO EMERGENCY RATIONS NO MOBILE PHONES YOU CAN FOLLOW THE MANOR ADVENTURE VIA OUR WEBSITE WE WILL LET YOU KNOW ABOUT THE LATEST DETAILS EITHER USING THE WEBSITE OR VIA TEXT MESSAGES

7 SOME OF THE AREAS MANOR DEVELOPS:
Getting to know their year group in a new way Improving independence and organisation Developing time management Boosting confidence Boosting self esteem Emphasising team ethos of year 6 Encouraging the children to develop their own personality and think about who they are and want to be Broadening horizons Allowing them to take on different roles Encouraging them to take reasoned risks Giving them practical experience of actions and consequences Boosting communication skills and adapting it to different people Improving listening skills Positive language and ways to boost others and help others Challenging themselves and pushing what they thought were their limits

8 Journey to Manor Monday 3rd September 2012
9:00 am – Arrive at school with luggage (carried by child) and separate disposable packed lunch. 9:15 ish – Coach leaves 12:00 ish – Stop for lunch at service station 2:30 ish– Arrive at Manor Adventure, Seifton, Craven Arms, Shropshire.

9 Arrival... Once the children have arrived at Manor they will:
Be shown to their dormitories Unpack Take part in a fire drill Have their first activity Dinner Evening Activity Have a meeting, followed by bedtime

10 The Journey Home Friday 7th September 2012 2:00 pm – Leave Manor
6.00pm (approx) – Arrive back at Hawkedon

24 The cost of the trip this year will be £275

25 What happens next? Pay your £30 deposit
Decide if you would like your child to go to Manor Adventure Pay your £30 deposit Ensure you make regular payments Don’t throw away old clothes
