ATHLETES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PRACTICE WITHOUT A PHYSICAL

5. Season Expectations Be on time for practice and game arrival/departure
Athletes are expected to be at all practices and games
3 unexcused practices = removal from team
Unexcused = detentions, hair cuts, birthday parties
Excused = sick/gone from school for medical reasons
(Please communicate these absences with your coach)

Non-marking, comfortable shoes

6. Eligibility
Students must be in school for a full day to participate in practices and games.
Game eligibility is determined by a student’s performance in the classroom: Respect and Responsibility.

7. Teams and tryouts 1 week of tryouts (Aug. 21-25)
Mon 21-Wed 23 8th Grade 4:00-5:30
7th Grade 5:30-7:00
Thur 24-Fri th Grade 3:30-5:00
7th Grade 5:00-6:30
Teams will be posted by tryout number online on Friday Evening or Saturday morning. Practice times will be listed on the website for the following week. Each individual coach will send home a practice and game schedule.

9. Uniform Care Wash separately in cold water
DO NOT use bleach or fabric softener
Hang to dry

Do not dry clean
GIRLS: If uniform is wet from perspiration after wearing, do not wad up in a ball.
Please do your best to take proper care of our uniforms! 

11. Volleyball Officials
Bismarck Public Schools is in need of volleyball officials, particularly at the middle school level for the Fall 2017 season. Middle school volleyball games pay $23/match. If you are interested, please contact the BPS activities office at
It is a good chance that games will only have one official, so our athletes will be asked to line judge our Simle games.
