2. PROBLEM/QUESTION
Does aspirin keep cut roses fresher longer?

3. OBSERVATIONS
My mom’s roses only last for about a week after they have been cut.
Roses turn brown when they die.
Flowers have to be put in water to help them stay fresh longer.
Aspirin is a pill.

4. HYPOTHESIS
If I put crushed aspirin into the water with the roses, then the roses will stay fresh longer then roses without aspirin.
IF…THEN

5. EXPERIMENT
Gather all materials. (Two roses, two vases, water, and an aspirin)
Add water to the middle of each vase.
Put a crushed up aspirin in one of the vases. Label it so you know which vase has the aspirin.
Put one rose in each vase.
Take pictures daily of each rose.
Continue the experiment until one roses turns all brown.
Record all data.
