1. Authentic Biology Experiment Our observations of 6 plants in different conditions over two weeks.

2. Plant 1 This plant was placed in sunlight and was watered daily.  This plant’s appearance did not change much throughout this experiment.  This is to be expected because this plant is under the good conditions

3. Plant 2 This plant was placed in sunlight, but it not watered at all.  This plant’s appearance did not change much until day 7.  By the end of this experiment this plant began to dry out and the leaves browned in colour and some fell off.

4. Plant 3 This plant was placed in a lighted room and was watered.  This plant’s appearance did not change much until day 6.  By the end of this experiment, like plant 2, this plant began to dry out and the leaves browned in colour and some fell off.

5. Plant 4 This plant was placed in a lighted room, but was not watered.  After five days this plant began to show similar appearance to plant 2 & 3  This is to be expected because plants need sunlight and water to survive.

6. Plant 5 This plant was placed in a cupboard and was watered.  Because this plant did not have light is suffered and it’s leaves started to brown and most of the leaves fell off.

7. Plant 6 Plant 6 was not placed in sunlight and was not watered.  By far this plant was in the worst state showing signs of dying very quickly after 4 days.  This plant does not have any sunlight or water, so this is to be expected.

8. My Conclusions and Overall Observations Point 1 – Plant 1 was in the greatest conditions because it was able to maintain it’s original appearance throughout the experiment. Point 2 – Plant 6 was in the worst conditions because very quickly it was in the process of dying. It’s leaves were going brown and falling off. Therefore plants need sunlight and water to survive and thrive.
