4 Measuring impact Back/joint pain,
App is setup to ‘re-educate people on how they access services, the indicators below are just those that are measurable at this point in time. Knowing whether each use affects how a person manages their health could be a reduction in several areas. In April 38 people called NHS 111 from the app – What would people have done if not directed to 111? Report for April highlighted that the most popular areas of app were Back/Joint pain Flu symptoms Thoughts of suicide and self/harm Developing a feedback button (End of July) in form of notification to ask user if they decided on advice from the app or accessed an alternative service used on their actual app usage Reviewing HES data to look at A&E attendances Reviewing walk in centre data to look at attendances Data gathered on the number of times people access their GP online account (if used 1000 times a month, the reduction in repeat prescriptions, admin time in booking appts should be measured) People spend over 3 minutes within the app and every page they look at in that session is recorded, including the services they choose to contact ( and phone) Push notifications to highlight services, campaigns, other services. Healthwatch Harrow to do independent review of the app (August) Back/joint pain, Flu – directs people to advice, local pharmacy Thoughts of suicide/Self Har

5 Interdependencies to measuring activity
The app needs to have been downloaded by 10% of population. App being used for at least 6 months Each project within a CCG should mention ways that the app can be used to support its objectives and modify clinical content to reflect project aims. All educational institutions, local authority, voluntary organisations, videos playing on GP practice screens and advertised via online social networks. Notifications encouraging people to self manage, contact 111 or order repeat prescriptions via the app

6 How is the app being used (opportunity to inform CCG priorities)
Monthly reports are received by the CSU which have highlighted the following: GP Online was accessed 2000 times Average time spent in the app is 3 ½ minutes per session 81 people have called NHS 111 through the app in 6 months, including 111 interpreting. People view 12 different screens each time its used 15% app users between 55 – 54 yrs 10% app users over 65 years Flu, Joint pain, headache, vomiting in children and thoughts of self-harm and suicide are amongst the most looked up areas 60 people made ‘thoughts of suicide’ a favourite
