Mobile Phones: Texting/phoning is very expensive abroad (up to 40p per text to send and receive) and worth avoiding. Contact service providers to unlock the SIM for use abroad. We do not encourage pupils to text/contact home. Pupils do have staff mobile numbers in case of emergency.
13
Spending money: Spends for souvenirs/ice cream/tuck shop
Avoid spending in expensive motorway services etc on outbound journey. Money for food/drink on way home £60 recommended max (mainly Euros) bought beforehand. We won’t have time to visit banks, bureaux de change etc during the trip. A good place to get your Euros is the Post Office – they do not charge commission. Pupils are responsible for organising their spending money.
