5 Health and Safety A member of staff has made a pre-visit
Risk assessment Visited the Chateau Routes Times Prepared a suitable and appropriate timetable for our children.

6 Mr Patel, Miss Kaur, Mr Froud, Miss Williams and Mr Punchard.
Health and Safety Five members of staff will be going: Head Teacher, Phase Leader, Year 6 teachers and the Sports Coach Mr Patel, Miss Kaur, Mr Froud, Miss Williams and Mr Punchard. PGL Tour guide will be with us at all times. Coach driver will take us to Paris city centre and will be available throughout the day if we change our plans due to weather, sickness or anything else.

7 Health and Safety Over forty fully trained members of staff on duty at the Château. First Aid Qualified Doctor and ambulance

8 Health and Safety All staff will be carrying mobile phones and first aid kits. Children will be given bright hats and/or visibility jackets. Children will be in small groups. All teachers will know the routes, timings and meetings points.

9 Contact with Parents We will the school an update everyday. This will be put on the website. The school will also send out a text to parents on Friday to inform you of arrival time and the school opening time in the evening.

10 No Cameras or Phones Teachers will be taking photographs and short
videos everyday. We will put all the photos on a CD for the children. Safer for children not to carry mobile phones or cameras.

12 Euros Souvenirs -purses, magnets, key rings, pens, pencils, postcards, models of Eiffel tower, mugs cost between 2-5 Euros each.

13 Snacks such as ice cream, candy floss, drinks, fries, crepes & cakes cost between 2-5 Euros.

14 Money Euros recommended amount 40 Euros Euro notes in fives
£10 for service stops in England

15 Snacks Children can bring extra snacks-crisps, biscuits, cereal bars, sweets & box drinks No fizzy drinks or cans.

16 Kit List is ready! Once rooms have been allocated, parents can arrange to share certain items: toiletries, hair dryers and adaptors. Children can pack their school trousers, jumpers and t-shirts and school shoes. No need to buy new clothes for the trip!

Requested four to share a room with an en-suite. Children can decide their groups closer to the time.

Coaches wait in the car park all day. We can change our plans and decide our own trip times each day if the children need a rest.

Journey to Paris School opens for parents and children Light Breakfast will be provided for the children. 6.00 Coach departure from Herrick Parents will have the opportunity to discuss medication a week before the trip and can hand in the medication on Monday morning.

33 The Journey…. Rest breaks during the journey.
Snacks will be provided by Herrick. There will be plenty of short games, quizzes, activities and singing in French during the journey! 11.50 Depart Euro Tunnel (Folkestone) 1.25 pm Arrive Calais Plenty of rest breaks

Medieval French Town-opportunity for children to practice their French and visit a traditional French market. Lunch at the Chateau Rotating Activities Free Time Evening Meal Scavenger Hunt

36 Busy Wednesday! Visit the Eiffel Tower!
Depending on queues and what the children want to do, we will decide whether we go up the Eiffel Tower by stairs or lift. Plenty of souvenir shops Markets Photo opportunities Activity based around the Eiffel Tower Picnic Lunch on the River Seine River Seine Cruise

37 Wednesday Afternoon Coach will take us to the Sacre Couer
We will also go to Montmartre Opportunity to buy souvenirs and French snacks Have portraits done by French Artists Look at different shops

We will be visit the Louvre See the Mona Lisa! Opportunity to buy souvenirs Picnic Lunch near River Seine or in the Louvre! Enjoy a lovely walk along the River Seine to the Notre Dame
