2 Background The outlet tube on LP Mid Range vertical systems has a slightly bigger rain shield (than Beta) to better protect from water intrusion at the NOx and PM sensors. The implementation of the bigger rain shield impacts the overlap length available for OEM tailpipes.

3 Details of the Change The LP systems have a slightly smaller (5mm smaller) overlap length available for OEM tailpipes. See table below for summary Length on Beta Models/Parts Length in AEB21.167 Length for LP 138mm 140mm 133mm MR Outlet Tube

4 Potential Impact to OEM
Depending on the OEM tailpipe designs, this change could drive a need to redesign/shorten the tailpipes being used. There is no expected impact to IQA with this change.

5 AEB Update AEB Table 8 will have to be updated with the actual value per the below snapshot.

6 Additional Information
A model of the new rain shield is available to use for fit checks. To do the fit check, OEMs have to import the new rain shield into their assemblies and overlay it on the existing rain shield.
