7 Associate Degree Requirements
An associate degree is a degree awarded by community colleges. 60 degree applicable units with a 2.0 GPA is required to complete an AA/AS. Completing an AA/AS degree indicates that you have completed a program of study with a broad base in general education and a concentration in a specific area.

8 Transfer Requirements
CSU/UC Public Universities: Requires 60 units of UC/CSU transferable coursework (admitted as a Junior). May include completion of General Education Completion of/or majority of major preparation courses (Use assist.org for transfer information) Specific GPA required for admission, as well as major. UC admission GPA is a 2.4 or higher CSU admission GPA is a 2.0 or higher California Private/Independent Universities/Out of State Universities: Sophomore or Junior transfer (24 units or more). Letters of recommendation usually required. Interview by admission rep. or alumni may be required. General education requirements, major preparation and transfer GPA will vary by campus.

9 Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) Pathway
An ADT allows students to complete an associate’s degree while satisfying lower division general education and major requirements for transfer at the same time. 60 (Lower Division Transferable Units) + 60 (Upper Division units completed at Transfer Institution) = Bachelor’s degree (120 units) For more Information visit:

10 UC Pathways The UC Pathways offer the common courses needed for certain majors across the UC’s. This is a great option for students who know they want to transfer to a UC, but are undecided as to which UC to transfer. IF they know what school they want to transfer to, using Assist.org to find major preparation courses will better prepare them for acceptance vs. a UC Pathway.
