5. Get to Know Me My experience My background
I have taught Pre-K, Grade 6, and Grade 5 in Floral Park for the past 30 years.
Before becoming a teacher I had several other jobs.
I grew up in Manhattan, Queens, and Williston Park
I attended Herricks High School, graduated in 1974, and earned my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Queens College.
In addition to Education, I studied music and voice at Juilliard in Manhattan.
I am a single parent who adopted 2 girls from China. My oldest (Lieren)is now 20 and in college and my youngest (Catherine) is 18 and just started college this year.
I love teaching and learning. One thing I am studying now is Chinese.
