Each individual club will have their own club profile to use throughout the forum. The good statistic is that 39% of our players are under 14 showing that there are a large number of young people learning the game The worrying part is that a similar % are over 40 demonstrating an aging membership in clubs. Lottery funded grants programme linked to the 2012 Olympic Legacy Strategy ‘Places, People, Play’ Programme administered locally by CSW Sport Funding available to deliver a block of 6 coaching sessions to give participants a taste of an activity they have not tried before Aims to get more year olds into participating in sport on a regular basis Applications submitted to CSW Sport Deadline for applications for delivery between April September 2012: Friday 23rd December 2011 11

Lottery funded programme Funding for local community and volunteer groups to improve and refurbish sports clubs or transform non-sporting venues into modern grassroots sport facilities. £20,000 - £50,000. 5 rounds in total. Dates for first three funding rounds : Round 1: 1 August to 28 September 2011 Round 2: 1 February 2012 to 2 April 2012 Round 3: 23 July 2012 to 17 September 2012 Rounds four and five will take place in 2013/14 12

Lottery funded programme £300 - £10,000 Programme priorities: Projects increasing the number of adults participating in moderate intensity sports Projects seeking to reduce the drop off rates for year olds Projects that contribute to community sports activity for year olds Open programme with regular decision meetings 13

14 Sportsmatch Exchequer funded programme
Aim – to match sponsorship on a £ for £ basis for new projects for awards £1,000 - £100,000 Three primary objectives Encourage businesses to sponsor community sport Foster lasting partnerships between business and community sport Further develop and improve access to sport through quality business sponsorships External panel with regular decision meetings Still accepting applications, however any award would need to be spent by 31 March 2012. 14

Clubs can complete one simple form to let us know of the opportunities and roles available for people to volunteer in. Opportunity is shared with a range of volunteer support agencies across the sub region 17

The Sport Makers programme will inspire people to make sport happen at the local level, embedding the Olympic and Paralympic values in grassroots sport, by: Recruiting, training and deploying 40,000 Sport Makers as the next generation of sports volunteers to organise and lead grassroots sporting activities Every Sport Maker will commit to at least 10 hours of volunteering, so the result will be hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours to support the mass participation legacy 18

20 Bring your community together to take part in sporting and cultural activities inspired by and in celebration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by organising a Community Games at your club A community Games includes both sporting and cultural events and some sort of ceremony, ideally an opening and/or closing ceremony. The rest is up to you. Club Open Days/Family Fun days could make great Community Games Benefits of organising a Community Games at your club include: Raising interest and awareness in your club Making links between the club and local community Attracting new members, volunteers, coaches etc A range of resources and support is available to help you plan and organise your Community Games. 20

24 Tennis Clubmark 50% of Warwickshire Clubmark Clubs are up for Clubmark renewal in 2012 Some criteria have changed e.g a new complaints procedure Clubmark demonstrates that a club is running a Quality Programme Competition is key to a Quality Programme across all clubs we need to ensure that clubs are achieving or working towards achieving a minimum of average number of RCJ’s for the size of club Using Clubmark on a regular basis will make gaining or renewing clubmark easier

WLTA bank account details on the invoice, Club Name must be included in the reference Don’t forget the secure login area of the website can also be used for updating your clubs’ mini promotional website 24/7. WLTA REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 1st DECEMBER 2011 to ensure details of club officials are correct in the Handbook Clubs once again need to register online using the same process as last year through the secure log in area on the LTA website for the 2011/2012 registration year ( The registration process can only be completed online and payment made via BACS.
