2 In 2013, My Giving Moment encouraged Canadians to discover what they have to give.
In 2014, we are moving people from reflection to action through a nation-wide challenge: get others to give with you. From November 3rd to December 14th Dare2Give.

3 What is Dare2Give? When someone gives their time, talent or money, they make Canada a better place for everyone. Now imagine if every Canadian giver challenged one other person to donate or volunteer with them? Canadians can double their giving impact simply by daring someone to give with them.

4 How does it work? We’re asking givers to dare others to give with them — do a charity run together, match a donation, go along to volunteer. All they have to do is say one simple thing: “I dare you to give with me.” Then do one simple thing: tell us the number of people they’ve dared at mygivingmoment.ca — and enter the draw to win a prize for their favourite charity.

5 How can our organization participate?
1. Count how many employees have been dared. From November 3rd until December 14th, we’ll count how many employees have been invited to participate in a company giving (fundraising or volunteering) event — whether it’s something we’re already doing or a new Dare2Give initiative. We’ll register that number on the My Giving Moment website. 2. Tell our employees about Dare2Give. Spread the news about Dare2Give through an e-blast, e-newsletter, intranet, social media…whatever works!

6 3. Encourage our employees to dare someone to give with them.
Giving is better when we do it together. It’s fun, and employees can double their giving impact! 4. Push out Dare2Give on our social media. Push out the message and get more people excited and engaged through Twitter and Facebook. 5. Declare a company “Dare2Give Day”. Between November 3rd and December 14th, declare a company “Dare2Give Day”. For 24 hours, everyone dares a friend, family member or colleague to give with them (they don’t have to give on that day, they can do it later).

7 What’s next? Campaign launch: Monday, November 3rd.
Watch for TV and digital ads, launch events in Toronto and Montreal, action on Facebook and Twitter, media coverage, and a new Dare2Give homepage on mygivingmoment.ca. [Partner Logo]
