CERN Giovanna Lehmann, Xavier Pons Standard 19’ rack: 600 mm width, 800 mm deph, 45U Heigh Supplier: ATOS Company Reference supplier: Rack 19’ EVOLUTION 45UL600P800 catalogue reference + accessories references: , , , , , Commercial data from supplier : Plans and dimensions can be found:

By standard rule we install on top of the rack a 220Vac power supply distribution 3U crate with mains Vac input protection breaker and dedicated breaker protecion for each output or client. The protection by default will be a 10A breaker (other sizes available) Feedback of the breaker status connected to Slow Controls. The line cords for output circuits, or the connection to the 3U 220Vac distribution crate rear side, can be done by CERN Burndy connector standard (see convention below) for 220Vac distribution otherwise terminal block connecting the wires directly by means of screwdriver. 3U 220Vac distribution crate - front view Out Burndy connector 220Vac CERN standard Connecting directly to Terminal block output 3U 220Vac distribution crate - rear view

Yes YES, We want the high levels of the slow control to be on building ground whenever possible. In additional minimal slow control will also be needed for the DAQ racks. A good location for the SC equipment on building ground is probably the same barrack as the DAQ

To discuss with detector integration the final location
and label or rack name. To discuss for the final location, when we’ll have a scope of the final devices to be installed.

INFO NOT AVAILABLE. TO DISCUSS WITH INTEGRATION

VDC in?? ??? How? Device interface? 8 HV SHV cables from power supply? 4 HEATERS 10 W/28VDC – Temperature regulation How many 4?, is ON-FF regulation enough? Analogue?

the first question to answer here is whether the PDS community prefers to have those devices on the flange or on the detector racks. Device? Size? Is 220 Vac enough? If the ethernet switch (1 is enough) is located in the detector racks, it could be one of the standard devices provided by CERN IT, e.g. from the ICX 7450 series (
