BROnet Hellas S.A. is a broadband services provider, a new company planning to offer currently the following services: BROnet Virtual Office: Business from anywhere BROnet e-BU: the intuitive Remote Backup Service BROnet Digital Signage: Effective business promotion Services are offered through broadband internet connection to SMEs, professionals and individuals ΒROnet is implementing its infrastructure based on its business plan. The company has been supported by the state aid Action ‘Funding of private- sector companies for the development of broadband services in the Regional Areas of Greece’ which is part of the Operational Programme ‘Information Society’.

Continuous presentation of content: With or without sound Without human intervention Installed at locations with broadband connections With content in format of ’enriched video’, i.e. combination of video, images, text, animation.

5 ‘Presentations’ and ‘Channels’ Presentation: A multimedia composition which is played back on the terminal without human intervention Channel: A sequence of Presentations, based on time succession The customer has control of the ‘presentations’, through the ‘channels’ Defines one or more information channels with reference to the presentations Uploads the static content of the presentations Defines the dynamic content of the presentations

9 The BROnet Digital Signage Service Service Name: BROnet Digital Signage Service supplier: BROnet Hellas S.A. Potential Users: Companies /organizations that seek for the continuous presentation of content on digital signs are willing to use the service instead of become DS providers (i.e. buying equipment, software etc.) have in place presentations and channels and want to use digital signs as an alternative distribution means.

10 Digital Signage: Service Description The Digital Signage Service allows the management and presentation of static/dynamic information, sound and video on large digital display screens. In practice the customer of the service has the possibility to present his/her own ‘programme’ (potentially different for each presentation point) in a location where there are appliances with broadband connections to the internet.

13 Description of service modules Service Provision Module: it includes the Terminal Management, the Services Management, controls the Content Repository and provides the Customer Interface Playback Module: is an LCD display terminal of at least 32’’, showing one specific information channel at any time. User Access Module:allows the user to define presentations and channels, as well as monitoring the terminals Content Creation Module: a stand alone module used for content creation, content validation and content upload

14 Service Cost The cost of the service is comprised from the following elements: Flat cost per presentation point, per month (leasing service). 1 st and 2 nd level technical support including call centre cost and online support cost. Profit for the service provider(s). Cost of creation of the DS presentation.

15 Why using the Digital Signage Service Increase of sales for items promoted though DS Service. Improvement of company’s image. Flexibility in the content formation and the selection of the presentation locations. Content can be both promotional and educational. No need for acquiring expensive hardware and / or software; no need for expensive IT skills. DS Terminals are controlled remotely with minimal human interventions. Affordable solution, small monthly fee.

17 What next? Service on trial period from Sept. to Dec. 2008 We are looking for Providers Companies Users who would like to try and asses the technology for their needs. Full commercial launch from the beginning of 2009
