4. Consequence Ladder C1 C3 C4 C2 C5 Verbal Warning Loss of Stamp 15 Minute Detention HoY Investigation Referred to SLT If you choose to behave poorly then you choose to have a consequence

5. The Consequence System System works on an accumulation of consequences as a result of a pupils poor choices (C1 to C5). C1 – first warning for breaking a classroom Golden Rule C2 – second warning (loss of stamp) for the same or another classroom Golden Rule infringement. C3 – issued for breaking the same/another classroom Golden Rule for a third time and will result in a 15 min detention (KS2 at lunchtime, KS3 after school) and/or removal from the lesson via “on call” staff member.

6. If a serious incident occurs in or outside a lesson then a C4 is issued. This is referred to HOY for investigation and a 45 min after school detention given if warranted. If this is occurs in a lesson then the pupil is removed via “on call” staff. C1/C2/C3 do not carry over from one lesson to the next, either in a day or subject – each lesson is a fresh start. A C4 can also be issued for an accumulation of C3’s (2 in a week) – this will result in the pupil being issued an after school detention by their HOY. C5 is reserved for the most serious of incidents and will require referral to SLT for further investigation and involve possible isolation/exclusion. D1 is issued for breaking basic expectations outside of the class room, for every 2 D1’s acquired, a 15min detention will be issued

8. #GOYB We challenge our pupils to give of their best and we reward those pupils at 3 points in the year with special GOYB activities/trips. The points system will take into account every pupils progress, attainment, attendance, behaviour and rewards, giving us the opportunity to identify those who really do give of their best in all aspects of school life. Behaviour and reward points will be tracked and monitored via SIMS and combined with the points total from Class Room Monitor

12. Why has assessment changed? LEVELS 1988 - 2014 Levels were dis-applied in 2014 with no specified replacement. After 26 years using levels we wanted to be sure we moved to as system that would work for Pupils, Parents and Teachers.

13. What have we replaced levels with? Maths Autumn Milestone 1 Milestone 2 Milestone 3 Spring Summer Milestone 1 Milestone 2 Milestone 3 Milestone 1 Milestone 2 Milestone 3 Milestones represent the KEY LEARNING that a pupil should achieve by the end of each term. Milestones have been written in “Pupil Speak” so that they can be easily understood.

Reading on a daily basis (with parents or carers for insecure readers) Online engagement with Accelerated Reader Learning and practising spellings and mathematical skills and tables which could be through the use of ICT programs (Mathletics, My Maths, Spellodrome, Reading Eggs, IntoScience) Completion of tasks Reviewing, redrafting and completing a piece of work Preparation for classwork / presentation Research topics, projects and investigations
