Feudalism made major changes to European society. It was a social system that kings and lords created when European society was in major problems. In the social system, the manorial system was the economical part. Introduction

Feudalism was in the years 900s to 1212, when the Crusades finished. Feudalism was a form of government domained Europe for lots of years. Feudalism shaped European economy for much time, after Charlemagne death. Also a great achievement was Chivalry, made major changes to feudal system. “ Chivalry was a system of rules that dictated knight´s behavior towards others”. (Holt, 298)

Feudalism declined for a major reason, the crusades.Lords to get money for the Crusades they selled their lands, without money they lost power in the feudal system.Many kings died in battle. Kings took the opportunity to take the taxes up,all this reasons took an end to feudalism. The Crusades were wars fighted with the objective of regaining the Holy Land´, there were 4 Crusades. This affected feudalism a lot.

Feudalism affects modern time. Because people start to beneficiate themselves with different work. Before, people had taxes, and in this moment people have taxes, many kinds of taxes. How did feudalism helped society?

Manorialism System: Manorialism shaped the economy much time Europe. By the year 900s people were ruled by local lords. Manor were farming lands that had a church, the manors house, cultivated lands.

Fief: was the grant of land. Vassal: The person who received the fief was a vassal. The land was divided in 3 parts, the lord had one third and the peasents had the other remaining parts. Peasents worked the other 2 lands for themselves, but they gave part to the lord. Lands
