5. Monocotyledon Flowering plants  Elongated leaves that have parallel veins  Seeds with one cotyledon eg. Maize, grass

6. Dicotyledon (eudicotyledon) Flowering plants  Broad leaves that have a network of veins  Seeds with two cotyledon eg. beans, peas
