Our School Mission and Vision Our Mission is to educate and build character in the total child Our Vision is to demonstrate Excellence, Honor and Service while striving for future goals. Put a star by this or highlight in your agenda – make it a point to learn both the mission and vision.

Recite Mission Daily Let’s say this together now: I am a part of the Lovinggood Family! I am here to be educated in all ways. To build character so that I can demonstrate excellence, honor, and service in all that I do.”

Class Expectations I will enter the classroom on time, quietly, and prepared to learn. I will display respectful behavior to all staff and students (FEEDBACK SHOWS THAT THIS NEEDS IMPROVEMENT) I will remain attentive while my teacher is talking. I will dress appropriately for school and class everyday. I will take my education seriously AND WILL NOT MISS ASSIGNMENTS.

Class Transitions You should Walk on the right side of hallway (Running is never acceptable in halls) remain in classroom the first and last 10 minutes of class. 10/10 rule will be enforced have a hall pass/agenda when you transition without a teacher Never be in the hallway after 4:00 pm

Dress Code You must wear appropriate clothing everyday. Review dress code on the front page of the website and/or in your school agenda once received – if you’re not sure about it, don’t wear it. If you bring other clothes and test the waters, you are subject to a consequence. Clarification on dress code: Scarfs are allowed – students must not wear on head unless for religious purposes

Class Arrival/Dismissal You are expected to Be seated in class before or by the tardy bell sound Stay seated until the TEACHER dismisses you – there should be no one standing at the door waiting for the bell- EVER. Work for the full class period Careful! - Consequences for tardies are noted in Synergy as a behavioral infraction

Drinks and Food Vending machines should not be used during homeroom and instructional time, with the exception of the water machines. Gum is not allowed anywhere in the school at any time.

Activity Slide Have a Q & A with students here: Give examples of disrespectful behavior? Give examples of disruptive behavior? Discuss student role when there is a substitute and expectation to respect substitutes. Discuss inappropriate behavior here and how it diminishes the school climate and culture

Electronic devices are for research and to enhance the learning experience Electronic devices are not for social networking and taking and/or sharing photos, videos, etc. Devices are not to be used outside of the classroom Cyber bullying will have reprecutions

Late Work Homework will not be accepted late. if an assignment was due on the day you were absent, you should turn it in the day you return. You are responsible for finding out what was missed and meeting the deadlines. (Teachers may consult with you on a case by case basis) Missed work is not allowed. It is an expectation to complete all assignments given by teachers. Failure to do this could result in a meeting with administration and/or counselors and parents and will hurt your grade greatly.

Late Work It is your responsibility to be sure to complete assignments. If you forget a short term (1 day) assignment, you may implement the use of an “oops” card. They are limited so it would behoove you to develop the management skill of completing assignments on time. Failure to complete work will hurt your grades tremendously.
