 Mrs. Harris and Miss Pollard both think these are of utmost importance!  Both are critical for success, and we need to start preparing them now for middle school (and life…but middle school is next ).  Students can: listen (we tell them where to put everything!!), study, and come to school prepared (don’t leave needed supplies at home).  Parents can: stay informed, help organize binders and folders at home (organize…don’t throw things away), and check the green folder daily.

 Rules  Rewards (brag tags, coupons, treasure box)  Clipboards  Consequences (walk at recess, silent lunch)  Problems that you need to be aware of will be noted on the signed papers cover sheet.  Major/Minor Referrals

 Send a note in the morning or as soon as possible  Call the office (please don’t e-mail)

 We teach almost every day until 2:10 pm.  If a checkout has to occur during school hours, please let it occur on Wednesdays after 1:40 pm or on Thursdays (Enrichment Days). Then, the students will not miss new instruction.

 Your child has the number of days missed plus one extra day.  Make up work that is for a grade must be completed at school.  If your child is out more than one day, please come pick up any make up work that can be sent home.

 Arrive early if your child wants school breakfast. They stop serving at 7:20.  Lunch time is 12:22. Lunch price is $2.75.  We eat snack at 9:15. (Sweat proof water bottles, please.)  Do-nuts during snack make great birthday celebrations!  If you send birthday treats for lunch make sure it’s something easily distributed.

 If you’d like to lend a hand, wish list items are on the newsletter each week.  If you’re able to send prizes (Dollar Tree type items) please sign up on the sign up sheet(s) on the counter.  Thank you for sharing your children with us!
