2 What qualifications can I get? YEAR 10 Your studies in your school and at the college all count towards the new Foundation Learning programme. This qualification includes: functional skills in maths, English, IT; units in social and work skills; vocational skills: business, catering, construction, customer service. Together they make up a certificate or diploma designed to give you the range of skills you need to move up to the next level of education or training and later a job.

4 What qualifications can I get? YEAR 11 You should aim to complete full awards by studying on one or two courses for the whole year. The qualifications are mainly BTEC Introductory (Level 1) Certificates and BTEC First (Level 2) Certificates. For sports we offer two qualifications, a BTEC Level 1 Award and a Junior Sports Leaders’ Award.

8 Where you will be learning? Courses offered at : Southwark College (Waterloo Centre), The Cut, London SE1 8LE Business administration Floristry Work skills

9 Making the best of your course Attend all classes on time and stay to the end. Pay attention to the teacher and do your best with course work you are set. Do your homework and hand it in on time. Know that to pass the course you must complete the assignments set by the teacher. Treat other students and the teacher respectfully, as you would expect to be treated. If you need help, ask the teacher or assistant.
