Provides a variety of academic services that address your student’s needs. This is where you will find the undergraduate and graduate advising team. OFFICE HOURS Monday through Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm Friday: 8 am - 4:30 pm (585) The Student Services Team will request that the student be present and participate during communication with parents or third parties. 4 ACADEMIC ALERTS Academic alerts are a way for professors to update students & advisors on student progress. Attending class Submitting assignments on time Devoting time to out-of-class preparation Doing well on quizzes/exams/labs Actively participating in class By mid September: First exams in many classes are given, and alerts begin coming in from professors Identify students that are struggling, gives students a window to recover Identify the root of the problem, action plan Create dialogue with professor –discuss issue or problem Support services on campus Be involved…..if you see your future,,,, then you must become involved in your future. 9 Business 1: Ideas and Business planning
First of a two-course sequence comprising the freshman integrated experience Students will be introduced to the key functional areas of business, the evaluation of new business opportunities, and the business plan process By applying the creative process, students will conceive new business ideas that will be developed in Business 2 Parent Presentation

10 Accelerated MBA Program (4+1) Five Years, Two Degrees
Course waivers are valid for five years from when the undergraduate course was taken Undergraduate courses should be taken at the Saunders College (high school AP credits do not count toward waivers, and rules for community college transfer credits apply) Students should take advantage of 4+1 information sessions and one-on-one meetings with advisors to learn more about the program. Graduate applicants must take a GMAT exam. 15 Important dates August 29: Last day to drop classes (talk to advisor first!) September 5: Labor Day - RIT closed October 3-14: Mid-term - sometimes stressful for students in their first term, when planning for exams and projects October 10: Columbus Day - No Classes, RIT open October 11: Classes follow a Monday schedule Week of October 31: Shopping Carts Open - Students should have already met with their advisors to discuss spring schedule November 11: Last day to withdraw from classes; “W” will be on transcript Week of November 14: Enrollment for Spring occurs. Most new student appointments likely towards end of the week November 23-27: Thanksgiving Break December 12-16: Final Exams - Students can view final exam schedule within the first month of classes to check on conflicts or too many exams on the same day Parent Presentation
