2 Task A hotel guest, Miss Tina Brown wants to store her luggage in the hotel after checking out, for she will be taking several days’ trip. She will be checking out at 11:30 this morning, and will claim her luggage a week later. The charge for the service is 5 RMB per bag per day. Her room number is 1038. You tell her the bellman will collect her luggage at 11 in the morning.

3 Please receive the guest who wants to deposit the luggage. Each group should make up a dialogue and make a role play.

7 I would like to use a safe deposit box. 我想使用一个保险箱。 If you would like to use the items while we’re storing them, please come here in person with tag. After confirming your signature, we’ll open the box. 如果在寄存期间,您要领取物品,请您 亲自过来,出示取物牌。我们核对签字 后会为您打开保险箱。

8 Service Procedure Greeting the guest. Asking the guest what he/she would like to deposit. If there is something valuable, remind the guest to use a safety deposit box. Assisting the guest to finish the Valuables Deposit Form. Giving the guest a tag for withdrawing. Explaining the cost of the service. Extending best wishes to the guest.

9 Sample Dialogue E: Employee G: Guest G : Excuse me. I’ll be checking out later. I wonder if I could leave my luggage here after I check out. E: Yes, sure. We do provide luggage storage service. When will you collect them? G: In a week. E: I see. When will you be checking out? G: About 11:30.

10 E: Then shall we arrange the bellman to pick up your luggage at 11? G: Sure. E: May I have your room number please? G: Room 1038. E: Room 1038. We will collect your luggage at 11 in the morning. Would you come to the service desk to get your storage receipt after that?
