Creating hyperlinks to increase the visibility of your brand 7. Tagging on Facebook

7.1 How to use tags When we tag someone on Facebook, we notify them that they were tagged and create a hyperlink to that person’s timeline. > Tag this photo People tagged in photo by their friends

Tag people in photos that are actually in. If you tag someone and they are not in the photo, give an explanation in the description as to why you are tagging them, and other people, in the photo. If you have friends who are very popular and sociable, tag them as the tags and the posts you tag them in will be seen by a large number of people, increasing the visibility of your posts. Just do this in moderation. This is an example text. Go ahead and replace it with your own text. This is an example text. Go ahead and replace it with your own text Tag wisely. If someone looks like they are having a terrible hair day in photo, rather don’t post it and definitely don’t tag them. If possible, crop that person out. Anyone can tag you but if someone tags you who you are not friends with, the tag will appear in your timeline review. Here you will be able to approve the tag or delete it. Tag your friends at a location, for example, if you are shooting a scene at an interesting place, post about shooting there with your friends and tag all the people who were with you. If someone you tag takes offence to being tagged, take a note of it and make sure you do not tag them in anything again. 14 10.1 Why create a Facebook event? An event may help you to reach more people. It does not have to be an event in the normal sense of the word. You could be launching your blog and inviting people to check it out on the day of the launch. There are few restrictions when it comes to the type of event. Creating an event is very easy and Facebook guides you through the steps.

10.2 Key factors to consider in creating an event use other channels such as Facebook messages, wall posts, mobile text messages, press releases, radio interviews and email to inform people about the event Choose your event photograph wisely, making sure it is easy to view on mobile phones. If you have any reviews or testimonials from outside sources to share on your event description, include these. This could be a quote from a positive review.

10.2 Activity: Create an event Everyone in the team to plan a pre-production meeting for the team and for any potential collaborators or volunteers on your production. This should be a meeting that could actually take place. Once all the details are arranged, each team should create an event, acting as your page, and invite people who you would like to see attend. Take note of RSVP’s and respond to any comments posted on the Event wall. Post a link on the event wall to your blog or any relevant website that provides information relevant to your meeting.

11. Facebook Notifications

Notifications tell you about any activity going on with your page, group or profile. They are useful for figuring out the type of content that people appreciate. They also make you aware about the activities and posts of your connections, and who has tagged you or your page. Check your notifications often enough so that you can respond to anyone who has interacted with your page.
