1. Category Manager – Perfurm & Cosmetic Purpose The BU Category Manager is responsible for the implementation and quality of standards within Category Management throughout the Business Unit to ensure the best possible offer. Key Accountabilities Operations  Define the sourcing strategy, in accordance with Global Category Managers, and implement it  Organize and coordinate Business Unit sourcing related to “local” suppliers, incl. preparing and conducting negotiations with Business Unit and local suppliers, in coordination with the Marketing Department for marketing investments  Define the products portfolio, and set and implement retail pricing  Plan and organize promotions in coordination with Marketing and Retail to support sales  Adjust assortment by introducing new items, identifying items to discontinue and managing stocks of discontinued items  Define promotions parameters and negotiate them with “C” suppliers in conjunction with Global Category Managers for “A” & “B” suppliers  Identify targeted promotions type and frequency with suppliers and Marketing and elaborate the promotional plan of the year for the supplier  Coordinate and follow-up the development and implementation of promotions, and review and validate promotional calendars People  Receive and implement Dufry communication standards  Participate in internal review meetings, ensuring proper upstream/downstream communication  Supervision of BU Master Data, ensuring accurate data entry and handling Finance  Ensure that all contracts comply with Dufry policy and governmental regulation  Responsible for Data integrity in supplier / customer / product data base  Track performance of products and suppliers  Ensure margin and contribution objectives for the company Customer  Analyze customers complaints and determine solutions to address critical issues Category Manager Position in Organization Potential Progression to BU Commercial Director July 2010 C DUFRY Organization and Human Resources Department Key Relationships BU Commercial Director BU Logistics Manager BU Marketing Manager BU Master Data Area Retail Managers Shop Managers Assortment Managers Global Procurement Suppliers Location Shanghai Measures Customers People Operations Finance Targets as per Corporate Performance Appraisal and MBO Policies.
