3  USA - The federal government: carries out the roles assignment to the federation of individual state.  INDIA - India has a parliamentary system of government based largely on that of the United Kingdom. The legislature is the Parliament. It is bicameral, consisting of two houses: the directly- elected, Lok Sabha indirectly-elected and appointed Rajya Sabha..

4  USA - Small family: parents and the children.  INDIA - Big family: parents grandparents and children living in the same house.

5  USA - Prefer the convenience of eating in front of the TV. Fast food, very popular.  INDIA - Family eat the traditional food such as curry and chapatis at the dining table together.

6  USA - Big Box Stores: Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s – What the customers need available in one place.  INDIA - In big cities, big stores like Shoppers Stop, West- side, Inorbit, Lifestyle are popular while in smaller towns still the small grocery shops are popular.

7  USA - 13 years including Kingergarten.  INDIA - 14 years including Junior and Senior KG.

8  USA - Dollar bill, coins (quarter, dime, nickel, penny).  INDIA - Rupee bills, coins (quarter, fifty paisa)  $1 = Rupees 50

10  USA - Have five major sports: Baseball, American football, Basketball, Hockey and Car Racing.  INDIA – Cricket, hockey, football (called soccer in USA), badminton.

A person is more likely to overlook a reputation to get the job done.  INDIA – In India also the end result is the most important. However, people tend to do work according to their profile and position.

22  USA – Morality, like good thinking or good behavior for people are learned from their parents or school in the USA.  INDIA – There is an extra subject called Moral Education.

23  USA – -Very friendly attitude -No uniforms unless private -Not many rules of formality in public school. For example, the students never stand up when the teachers enter the room.  INDIA – A kind of mix, very formal when teaching session is on, but friendly when outside the class.

24  USA – Numerous activities like clubs, sport, and student council available.  INDIA – Numerous activities like annual sports, cultural events, debate competitions, picnic etc

25  USA – Three months of vacation in summer, and almost two weeks in Christmas.  INDIA – One and half month of vacation in summers and one week in winters.
