Part I: Architecture Analyze a piece of architecture from your community Part II: Art Analyze a work of art from your community Civic art, sculpture, an image in your home Graffiti Street performance, etc. *Be sure to follow the directions carefully!! * Please limit to at or slightly over 750 words. * *Use the example paper as your template! * NO LATE WORK! * * Include an intro & conclusion! * Be sure to explain detail! * Apply concepts from Chapter 4! *

3 Unit 3 To-Do List (over the break, by 1/3) Reading Read chapter 3 in our text: “Myth and the Origin of the Humanities” (or PDF in Doc Sharing). Supplemental Resources Watch the 45-minute presentation (broken into five short segments) on what happens when stereotypes and prejudice are played out in an elementary school classroom— FACINATING and a true study! (My Web Resources under Unit 3 tab). Review Key Terms using the Flashcards in My Humanities Kit (link under Unit 3 tab). Discussion 50 pts. Participate in discussion (link under Unit 3 tab). Answer both questions (two “meaty” paragraphs each) AND respond to two students’ questions per thread (one “meaty” paragraph each). SEE RUBRIC! Flex Seminar Attend/ participate in a synchronous discussion. Our next one will be on 1/9. NOTE: Our next project (Music) is due 1/10. You can begin to prepare yourself by looking at the “Helpful Resources…” link I put in the Unit 4 Discussion Board.
