8. Defination: A, AN and THE are called article in English. AA, AN and THE are called article in English. ARTICLE A she bear but two child.

9. So, Articles are of two kinds. Classification of article 1.Indefinite 2.Definite Article

11. INDEFINITE ARTICLE A and AN are called the Indefinite article. A and AN কে Indefinite article বলে। Example: It is a rose. A dog is paying It is an aroplane. This is a star. This is an old bear. This is an eagle.

12. Definate Article. The word THE IS called Definite article in English. THE কে Definite article বলে। The deer is very beautiful. The bear is eating fish. The national memorial of Bangladesh. How fine the sculpture is! The cab of lion is fine. The scenery of Cox’s bazar is wanderful. The sculpture of child is very good. The spring is very nice.

Use of Indefinite(A/AN) article: 1.Word শুরুতে consonant থাকলে তার আগে a বসে। যেমনঃ A cat, a dog, a lion, a man ইত্যাদি।. 2.Word এর শুরুতে vowel থাকলে তার আগে an বসে। যেমনঃ An old man,an elephant, an Eagle ইত্যাদি। Exception: word এর শুরুতে vowel U ( ইউ ) এর মত উচ্চারিত হলে a বসে। যেমনঃ A university, a uniform, a Europen ইত্যাদি।

14. 3. Word শুরুতে H উচ্চারিত হলে a বসে। Like : A house, a high school, a horse ইত্যাদি। 5. O গঠিত সব word এর পূর্বে an বসে। কিন্ত One থাকলে a বসে। Such as: An old mon But A one taka note, a one blaind man. ইত্যাদি। 4. Word শুরুতে H উচ্চারণ উহ্য (silent) হলে an বসে। Like : An honest man, an hour, an honurable ইত্যাদি। One taka 1

15. 7. সংক্ষিপ্ত শব্দ (Abbrevgation) consonant এর মত উচ্চারিত হলে a বসে। So: a B. A, a B.C.S, a B.S.S ইত্যাদি। 6. সংক্ষিপ্ত শব্দ (Abbrevgation) Vowel এর মত উচ্চারিত হলে an বসে। So: An M. A, an F.R.C.S, an M.B.B.S ইত্যাদি। 8. সংখ্যা বাচক শব্দ যেমনঃ couple, dozen, score, hundred, thousand, million পুর্বে a বসে। 9. Disguised preposition এবং Exclamatory sentence – What এর পরে a/an বসে। The king went s(on) hunting. What a nice flower it is!
