3 IMAGE CAPTURE Definition: Taking a snapshot or still image of an area or object on a computer screen.

26 Hover cursor over the Jing sun. Three option rays will appear.

27 Click far left Capture icon that looks like a plus sign to start a Video capture. (or use a capture hotkey)

28 Click on screen and drag yellow Cross Hairs to select capture area or click browser window to highlight and select it.

29 Hold Control key while dragging for 4:3 (Full-screen, i.e. 320x240, 640x480, 800x600) aspect ratio.

30 Hold Shift key while dragging for 16:9 (Widescreen, i.e. 640x360, 800x450, 960x540) aspect ratio.

31 Click Video Capture button to save selected area and to start recording.

32 Video captures will start with a 3 second countdown before recording begins. Make sure microphone is on if you want microphone audio.

33 Click pause button often to avoid gaps and errors. (PC preferences: Video hotkeys box: Pause = F8) This will save you time instead of redoing the entire video from the beginning.

34 Click stop button when finished with Video capture. (PC preferences: Video hotkeys box: Stop = F7)

35 Play video in Jing - Preview window.

36 Click Screencast.com button for a quick storage and shareable location.

37 Wait while video is uploading to Screencast.com.

38 Paste Screencast.com link to video capture in an email to share.
