9 9 Functional Enhancements  Adhere to best practice and standards  Customisations are packaged into modules  Modifications to the ‘core’ are avoided  Includes:  Security  E-mail unpacking & indexing  Scanning and OCR  API  Most enhancements have been to the user interface

10 10 Security  Extension of Alfresco’s Records Management  Users can only see documents related to their permitted group companies (use metadata)  Searches are also restricted  User security profiles obtained from central Reference Data System  User interactions are fully audited  Audit events are sent to external systems for reporting and alerting  Security events can be analysed for risks and threats

11 11 Scanning & Optical Character Recognition (OCR)  OCR capability provided as a service  Scanning done via standard multi-function devices  Scanned documents are emailed / dragged and dropped in  OCR docs that are attached to emails  Both original and OCR’d documents are stored for legal compliance OCR Paper E-Mails & Attachments Full Text Search
