5 A PPLICATION P ERIODS 5 Initial Application Period Began on 9/24/12 and ends on 10/24/12 Applications reviewed and awards made based on score Regardless of score, an Initial Application will always be ranked higher than an application received during the Ongoing Application Period Ongoing Application Period Begins on 10/25/12 Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis Ranking factors do not apply

8 T IPS OF THE W EEK 8 Green Building and Energy Efficiency Ranking Factor If you are pursuing the 10 points for “Green,” please indicate in your response the “Green” designation you intend to pursue. Examples outlined in the Notice include: Enterprise Green Communities Criteria LEED-H, LEED-H Midrise, LEED-NC Energy Star New Homes or Multifamily High Rise EarthCraft House or Multifamily Earth Advantage New Homes Greenpoint Rated New Home or Existing Home National Green Building Standard Other Industry Recognized Green Building Standard You are able to revise your selection after CHAP-issuance as long as you are switching from one designation to another and not opting to forgo the Green ranking factor

9 T IP OF THE W EEK 9 Resident Comments Each applicant must attach a PDF of Resident Comments and submit it along with the RAD Application The attachment should include the resident comments as well as responses from the Ownership addressing those comments

10 T IP OF THE W EEK 10 Fatal Errors…are FATAL! An application will be rejected upon submission if it contains fatal errors Be sure to correct all fatal errors prior to submission
