You and a friend have just watched a movie. You are leaving the cinema and notice a group of popular kids from your school who are all smoking. You stop to talk. You and your friend are offered cigarettes.

Identify The problem is that I am under age and not allowed to be smoking. Alternative #1 You could say that you need to get home to do homework, or else you mom would get mad. Alternative #2 You could say that you friend has get home before a certain time. My Choice My choice would be to say that I have to go home to do my homework because then I would not be harming my friend in any way. Also that makes it so my friend doesn’t have to smoke. Looking Back No, I would not change my decision once I understand the impact Impact The impact of my decision is to not break the law, this choice will also make my parents happy that I said no. The popular kids may not like me but my true friends will not be mad.

You and your best friend have been talking more and more about weight. You are at her house looking through magazines. She turns to a picture of a thin, beautiful model advertising ultra-thin cigarettes. You tell your friend that it would be great to look like the model. Your best friend opens a cupboard and takes out a package of her mom's cigarettes. She offers one to you.

Identify Even though the advertisement makes smoking look good it can cause serious problems to your health. Alternative #1 You could say tell you friend what smoking does to your health and the problems that it can cause. Alternative #2 You could say that you have to go home and do some homework. My Choice My choice would be to tell my friend what smoking can cause and that you could go to jail because you are breaking the law. I would choose this because then I could save my friend and myself from causing any health issues. Looking Back No, I would not change my decision once I understand the impact Impact The impact of my decision is to not cause any harm to my body and also to not break the law. My decision will also help my friends not cause any health issues to them.

You and a friend are at a party. Before the party, your friend arranges with her parents to get a ride home for you both at the end of the evening. When it is time to leave, her/his brother and a friend arrive to pick you up instead of his/her parents. You notice that both boys have been drinking and there is even an open bottle of beer in the car. It isn't very far to your house though.

Alternative #2 You could say that your parents would be mad because they are coming to pick you up and that they would be made and get you into trouble if you were not nthere when they came to pick you up. My Choice My choice would be to walk home because then you don’t have to wait there and they also cant say that it would be quicker. This is what I would choose. Looking Back No, I would not change my decision once I understand the impact Impact The impact of my decision could possibly save my life because there have been many deaths caused by drunk driving. This could also save my friend. Even though calling a taxi takes effort and money, if it means saving my life it is worth it.

A few of your friends often pitch-in together to buy a pack of beer. Today, they want you to kick in some money to help buy that pack. You don’t drink and feel it's unfair that you should have to pitch-in for their booze. Besides, you have been trying to save your money to buy a really cool snowboard. They start accusing you of being cheap and tell you to get lost if you don't want to be part of the group.

Alternative #2 You could put in a little bit of money and not drink, but say that they have to pay you the money back. My Choice My choice would be to put in a little money because then tey will not think I am cheap, and I will also get the money back and I wont have to drink.. This is what I would choose. Looking Back Yes, I would because I would also tell my friends the conqecenes of what they are doing. Impact The impact of my decision will make them not think that I am cheap, but it will also allow my friends to do something illegal that can get them into a lot of trouble.

You and your friends are having fun playing basketball. Another friend arrives a little later and starts talking to two of the other friends. The three of them motion to the rest of the group to join them off to the side. They light a marijuana cigarette and pass it around. The cigarette comes to you.

Identify Smoking cannabis is illegal at any age and it can also harm your lungs and higher your risk of getting cancer. My Choice My choice would be to put in a little money because then tey will not think I am cheap, and I will also get the money back and I wont have to drink.. This is what I would choose.
