2. EXTREME CLOSE UP An extreme close shot is used in order for the audience to see detail on a characters face to tell them how that character is feeling. For example, it may be used on a characters eyes if they’re frowning so that the audience knows they’re confused.

3. MEDIUM LONG SHOT A medium long shot is used to capture some background but mainly for the audience to focus on the person’s body language. This camera shot can be used when the film maker wants the audience to be aware of the character’s location but still focus on what they’re doing.

4. INTERVIEWEE The interviewee shot is used when filming an interview to ensure you can see their face while being spoken to. This shot is often used on television to allow the audience to view the person in this way.=

5. BIG CLOSE UP A big close up focuses in on the face. It can be used to show the audience how the person is feeling as you can detect facial expressions at this distance. It is good if someone is laughing or crying to use this shot.

6. LONG SHOT A long shot allows the audience to view the person’s full body to see things such as costume, body language and background location or anything going on in the surroundings as you’re supposed to focus on all things.

7. MOVING SUBJECT SHOT A moving subject shot is used a lot in TV and film to show people moving as it helps add to the narrative to get characters to move from place to place.

8. CLOSE UP A close up is used for the audience to see a character’s facial expressions so they’re aware of how they’re feeling. By doing this, it helps the audience to be drawn into what they’re watching as they can follow the narrative easily.

9. VERY LONG SHOT A very long shot is used to ensure the audience can see what is going on around the character. This may be used in action films when an explosion happens behind the character and the film maker wants the audience to see the background as well as the character.

10. HIGH ANGLE SHOT High angled shots are used to look down on a subject. Sometimes used to suggest that who is looking down at the character is more powerful. 11. LOW ANGLE SHOT A low angle shot can be used to show an audience what is above. For example, in my picture to the right you can see Miah from a low angle and the gloomy sky above her which suggests to the viewer that it might rain soon. The low angled shots can give someone a suggestive message just from looking at it.

12. MEDIUM SHOT A medium shot is very popularly used on TV presenters as you can focus on them talking as well as their body language. The audience can also see some of the background scenery

13. MEDIUM CLOSE UP A medium close up shot can be used to show the audience a character’s emotion but also some body language. For example, the audience would be able to see some with a bored face and slouched shoulders which enables the actor to present their character accurately.

14. TWO HEAD SHOT A two shot is used so the audience will focus on more than one character at a time. Usually, sitcoms will use this shot as a comedy effect because the audience can see the characters reaction to something and it is in sync with each other. This image here from the sitcom F.r.i.e.n.d.s is a two head shot and is used to add comedy to the scene due to the gestures they’re making. 15. OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT Over the shoulder shots are typically used to show an audience that the characters are having a conversation with another character. A lot of shots used in soap operas use over the shoulder because they are heavily filled with dialect. This over the head shot from Eastenders is different to mine as there is far more scenery and I can tell that they’re sitting in a prison whereas my shot could be outside any building. 16. TILTED FRAME A tilted frame can be used to create emotion in the audience as they may feel they’re moving with the camera.

17. EVALUATION To improve my photos I would use less distracting backgrounds in order to achieve a specific message from the subject. Also, to make the photos appear more professional, ask to the models to do freeze frames of acting. What I like about my photos is that they were taken on flash mode in the camera therefore the lighting is bright and clear. This allows the subject to be focused as intended. While using the cameras we had to be health and safety conscience, therefore when using the equipment I had to wear a camera strap to stop the camera falling and breaking. Also, we could not take photographs in dangerous places. To do this task, I needed others to participate so that I could use models to take my photographs. Due to this, we had to be professional so the work the pictures was the correct shots.
