5 5 Thermal characteristic of 8”x8”MCP (40 micron) in vacuum: MCP process with chem-2 +ALO SEE Y-axis log scale 8”x8” MCP resistance is very sensitive to the temperature Question: @ 200C which conduction dominate? a) Resistive coating= 25M  -100K  b) MCP glass itself= 4.4G  -100K 

6 Thermal characteristic of 8”x8”MCP (40 micron) : 6  T for 33mm 20micron MCP = -0.033  T for 8”x8”mm 40micron MCP = -0.056 Small Temperature range Very sensitive to temperature

7 Summary 7 8”x8” MCPs are very sensitive to atmosphere, ALD conditions and the temperature compare to 33mm MCPs 25M  40micron 8”x8” MCP is available for testing. (one of the corner is broken during transfer but still good to go!!) Need more 8”x8” MCPs with NiCr electrodes Next plan: ALD on 2x 20 micron 8”x8” MCPs (received form UCB) MCP Quality ?
