14 Neolithic – New Stone Age 10,000 years ago Polished stones Made saws and drills Could make fire

15 Neolithic Revolution People went from hunting and gathering societies to farming and raising animals Domestication – is the taming of animals for human use. Plants – wheat, barley Animals- goats, sheep

16 Changes Due to the Domestication of Animals and the Cultivation of Plants People could settle down Could build permanent settlements Population grew Religion developed –Megalith- Huge stones used as religious monuments –They associated God with one of the four Elements (Earth, Wind, Water Fire)
