Station 1: Universal Design for Learning (UDL)

Station 1 Set up (UDL) Capture attendees attention Booth will have brochures with information of the three principles of UDL and explain that UDL is a “philosophy of instructional design that seeks to create instructional learning environments and materials that proactively value diversity by embedding supports for students to foster access and engagement” (Edyburn, 2013). Live action and ready to use laptops, computers, iPods, and tablet will be displayed A video will be displayed to show highly qualified teachers in actions and incorporating technology as well as interviews of teachers, students, and dedicated volunteer workers.

….Station 1 continues A dedicated member will be present to host a question and answer to all who attend to ensure that all attendees leave with knowledge of: how the three principle of UDL will be used how it will benefit learners of diverse backgrounds and with different learning styles Lesson plans Attendees will be encouraged to try out the technologies ( interactive games, learning video, touch screens, voice talk, and so forth) to know for them selves how technology meets the needs of learners through the principles of UDL.

… 21st-Century Skills Acquisition and Employability continues Computer Science Career(s) > Computer Game Designer > Computer Technician > Web designer > Data Communication Analysis > Game Designer As students completes their course in the Computer Science program, they will demonstrate the 21 st century skills that includes but are not limited to: > Critical thinking > ICT (Information, Communication, and Technology) Literacy > Leadership and responsibility

…21st-Century Skills Acquisition and Employability continues All students will use high quality technology to research data that is required for their specific field. Students will have access to laptops, internet, computers, tablet, digital tools, and varies other software to assist with communication and their learning. Technology will be used to handle real world problems that could and does happen in the work place. Tools > Computers > Tablets > Internet > Cameras and camcorders > Printers > Software > IPods > Digital recording devices

…21st-Century Skills Acquisition and Employability continues Interaction Attendees will be able to use the technology and play interactive games for prizes. While using the technology attendees will be able to get a feel of how it is used in careers and how it is implemented in the learning process. New Technology Schools would benefit because it will encourage the students, enhance learning, increase student participation, decrease the dropout rate, globally completive, and helps take a load off of the teacher.
