The Professional Portfolio A statement of personal educational philosophy A statement regarding your personal educational goals Collections of practical teaching and learning artefacts - unit planning, lesson plans, student work samples - prompted by the three domains of the Victorian Institute of Teaching Professional Standards: professional practice; professional knowledge ; professional engagement. Annotations which demonstrate the understanding of the competent beginning teacher and explain why each piece of evidence supports a claim for teaching competence At least one Case Writing which will present examples of competent practice prompted by one or more of the three domains of the Victorian Institute of Teaching Professional Standards: professional practice; professional knowledge ; professional engagement.

Both work well The important thing is to be able to respond quickly to questions with evidence to support your competency to meet the VIT standards

9. Presenting the portfolio Presentation is done in groups of four students with one lecturer. Each student will present to the group starting with a short 5 minute summary of your ACP project. This will be followed by a 25 minute presentation of your portfolio which is directed by the lecturer and clarifying questions from your peers. Evaluation of the presentation will be by your lecturer in collaboration with your peers. Treat the presentation as you would an interview where you have to convince the panel of your teaching skills and ability.
