An industry-community partnership in action uWorkin and MMVLLEN (with the support of DEEWR) formed a industry-community partnership to build a consultative framework for the development of technology solutions to support the ‘Transition to Independence’ project and vulnerable employment sectors of the community more broadly. Technology does not solve social issues, but through extensive on-going consultation between uWorkin, MMVLLEN and DEEWR the technical aspects of a centralised support system to engage and grow local employment has been formed.

4. At first... uWorkin local jobs widget with hosted functionality to be displayed on partner websites. Candidates search jobs by keyword and location and share opportunities via social media. It connects them to work, education, events, local support and information so that they can make the most of their employment options. All local jobs available on the internet are aggregated within JobCraft, as well as employments opportunities that are exclusive to JobCraft members JobCraft is social media optimised to enrich social inclusion and is accessible on web, tablet and mobile

Job boards allow people to search jobs by location, employer or job type - A ’Talent Community' expands searches to events, membership, local community and defined groups. Talent communities can be linked to share information and jobs. Active employers can source candidates within the linked talent pool.
