Christ University, formerly Christ College, our Parent University was founded in Bangalore in 1969 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) Priests. Christ Institute of Management Delhi NCR, Ghaziabad was founded by the same Trust.

ACADEMICS We follow the Trimester system: I / IV Trimesters from Jul to Nov. II / V from Nov to Feb. III / VI from Feb to May. ASSESSMENT: Part A— Continuous Internal Assessment - I: 10% Mid Trimester Examination: 25% Continuous Internal Assessment - II: 10% Attendance: 5% Part B —End Trimester Examinations - 50%

SCHOLARSHIP STANDARDS proper scholarship standards for all your academic writing assignments, reports and presentations at CIM. Work seriously on your academic assignments. Library use (Books & journals) and ProQuest references (online) could be also criteria for evaluation of your work. only original work is acceptable and that you will not present other's work as your own.

SCHOLARSHIP STANDARDS Copy & paste from other sources without showing reference will be identified and will be considered as corrupt attitude & dishonest and will be punished. Please refer research articles learn how to present standard academic work. Follow APA style format or the specific format recommended by your teacher for footnote and bibliography. Ensure your work is genuine and high standard.

DRESS CODE Boys : Formals (trousers, full sleeved shirt & tie) Girls : Salwar kameez & dupatta. No Leggings Modest dressing required- Sleeveless clothes, tight dresses, tight tee shirts and body huggers are strictly prohibited. Body piercing, tattooing and fancy coloring of hair - not acceptable

USE OF MOBILE PHONE Mobile phones of students should be switched off inside the buildings of the institute. Mobile phones can be used only outside the institute buildings (not even in the corridor of classrooms) Violations of these guidelines, could lead to the confiscation of mobile phones

CONDUCT MISBEHAVIOR AND MISCONDUCT Respect for fellow students, faculty and staff, and email etiquette in communications expected. Abusive languages, Viewing undesirable sites on the internet would be taken very seriously. Ragging in all its forms is totally banned here in all the premises (academic, residential, sports, cafeteria ) within /outside the campus

CONDUCT IN THE EXAMINATION HALL Students should be seated in their respective seats inside the exam hall ten minutes before the the exam starts. Any form of copying, malpractices or any attempt to copy is a serious breach of conduct and will be dealt in the manner deemed fit CONDUCT

CLEANLINESS AND DECORUM OF THE CLASSROOM The students are expected to keep the classroom and Institute premises clean and tidy and not cause any damage to the Institute properties under any circumstance

ELIGIBILITY FOR PROMOTION Candidates who have not passed in at least 50% of the papers in the first 2 trimesters will not be promoted to the 3rd trimester. Candidates who have not passed in at least 50% of the papers in the 1, 2, 3 and 4th trimesters together will not be promoted to the 5th trimester. Requirement for pass in each paper is 50%

ATTENDANCE 85% attendance is mandatory to make a candidate eligible to appear for the End Trimester Exam. Students should have a minimum of 85% attendance for all the subjects including Holistic Education, which is an eligibility criterion for undertaking trimester exams.

ATTENDANCE Current affairs, group mentoring, corporate interface & club activities are equally important and attendance is compulsory. Attendance carries a maximum of 5 marks out of 100 for each course. Whenever required by the institute, students should be available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for co-curricular & extracurricular activities.

PUNCTUALITY The students shall be present in the class room on schedule time and before the faculty enters the class room.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES Active participation in co-curricular activities is encouraged Students representing the Institute/participating in approved co-curricular activities, are eligible to claim for attendance. Students less than the required percentage of attendance may not be permitted to participate in Co- Curricular activities representing the Institute

Holistic Education The holistic development of an individual is attained through academic excellence, professional competence, personal, interpersonal and societal skills Holistic education is a part of the regular curriculum with one hour per week being dedicated in the course time table.

STATEMENT OF RISK Study at CIM requires travel and, exposure to villages, other organizations, industry and outbound training. It also includes sports and other co- curricular activities. I t is our duty to bring to your attention unforeseen hazards in undertaking any travel, event and group activity.

The institute, any of its officers, tour organizers, its promoters, officers and any other person or persons acting on its behalf will not be responsible and liable for any loss, injury, disability or calamity occurring to the student and for any breakdown or accident. STATEMENT OF RISK

GENERAL Instructions of the class representatives & other event coordinators should be followed Positive response to the personal & group email communications from the office, administration and professors. Strict adherence to the general rules and regulations stipulated in the Institute hand book and special instructions given by the Management.
