9. Heat treatments are the number one chemical free option to bed bug control. Planning is simple and easier then other options. The heaters used for this type of treatment are controlled with the use of wireless monitors and computers. Heat Treatment Bed bugs can only stand so much heat. They die at 113°F. Treatment temperature is maintained between 120°- 140°F to ensure they are killed. Length of time varies with infestation levels, type of construction and the amount of stored items.

10. In some cases, preparation is so important that it is written into the treatment contract. Preparation All treatments require some amount of preparation, which is critical to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment. In general, heat treatments require a small amount of preparation whereas the conventional treatment requires a great deal.
